Overview and Purpose

The normal “Christian” life as we see it today is by and large just an added feature to the normal soulish, or secular, life. For many people, Christianity is just something they do in addition to the other things they do, like pursuing a hobby or avocation. The Bible, though, demands that we become new persons altogether, walking in accordance with the Spirit and not the world. We are to walk as Jesus walked. We are supposed to develop our newly born spirits so that they are in charge of our lives. 

Some Christians attempt to blend a soulish Christian life with the spiritual one and can be somewhat effective, though still “of the world” to one degree or another. Very few are fruitful disciples living by the Spirit, and that is understandable because until now there has been no readily available tool to bring them to that level. Of course, the Bible, the Holy Spirit, and individual Bible studies, books, sermon tapes, preachers, and even college courses have always been accessible, but there has been no systematic training curriculum to renew the mind and put the disciple on the track of becoming a fruitful disciple, one who is in the world but not of it.

The Fruitful Disciple Series is a set of training engagements that offers the minimum amount of training necessary to be fruitful in the Christian life. By no means is this training series exhaustive on the subject of Christian living; it is meant merely as a starting point. The fifteen modules build on one another, so if you were to proceed through these in the order intended and applied the principles, upon completion you would have sufficient knowledge and skill to begin living a fruitful Christian life.
