The Fruitful Disciple Series

Book Two:  Becoming Productive

Module 6: Fruit Started It; Fruit Ends It

The Fruit module is another attitudinal module, but it does not deal with mental attitudes. The fruit of the Spirit is just that—fruit of the Spirit. However, developing this fruit does require a renewing of the mind to allow the fruit to manifest.  There are ten lessons in this module.

Module 7: Kingdom Finances—“They Always Talk About Money”

This module develops the overall subject of finances from a biblical perspective. Jesus discussed money more than any other single subject, so it must be important.

Module 8: Witnessing

This is a short module and mostly a practice session. Most Christians are just not comfortable witnessing, so this module dispels the fears associated with it and gives practical methods and advice for winning the unredeemed.

Module 9: Heroes

This module does not delve into the theology of the Old Testament, but rather it focuses on the characteristics that define the heroes of the Bible and how those characteristics can also be developed in the fruitful disciple. The Hall of Faith of the Bible describes some of their exploits in verses 33–35 of Hebrews 11:

Who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection.

A lesson is devoted to each of seventeen heroes.

Module 10: Faith—Stepping Out

Since we now have a biblical foundation of how faith worked for the biblical heroes, we can learn how to develop it in our own Christian walk. We start by understanding what faith is and developing a definition for it. Then we learn how faith works and its relationship to other fruits of the Spirit like patience and love. We also learn what faith is not. Finally, we move into practical application with some exercises to do.
